Manufactured only in 1982 with a total of just 490 units produced according to page 19 of Dennis Adler's "Black Powder Revolvers - Reproductions & Replicas". The included factory letter confirms the configuration, 7 1/2" barrel, .36 caliber, stainless finish, varnished walnut grips, and a squareback trigger guard. The revolver was shipped to Greg Martin Auctions 660 Third Street, Suite 100 San Francisco, California on October 16, 2008. There are remarks on the letter stating "Subject revolver was a display piece and sample of this variation of 1851 Navy Revolver kept by the Colt factory". With glass topped display case.
