Manufactured c. late 19th century to early 20th century. The barrel is gold inlaid with "C. Stiegele Jun. in Munchen". Very attractive scroll engraving on the upper tang, trigger guard, and buttplate; with a vignette of a hound on the upper tang and bird on the trigger guard. The stock is attractively figured with relief carving around the wrist and a motif of a man cooking over a fire in a cabin relief carved into the stock.

Fine as refinished with scattered pitting and crisp engraving. The wood is fine with chips, dings, handling marks, and crisp checkering and carving. Mechanically excellent.
