Manufactured c. 1939-1945. Imperial "chrysanthemum" crest removed from the receiver ring. Cleaning rod and front sight absent. Includes a Type 30 bayonet, a metal sheath, and a March 15, 1946, dated U.S. Fleet Post Office letter from the U.S.S. LST 697 listing on Japanese rifle and bayonet as possessed by Noel. F. Bevins.

Fine as refinished, retaining much of the finish with some scattered light oxidation/spotting and light handling marks. The stock is very good as sanded and varnished with some light dents. Mechanically functions.
