Description:

1) 1916 pattern stahlhelm with tritone camouflage pattern (green/brown/tan, with thick black borders), "F281" stamped inside the crown and a set of three white leather liner pads. Some faint paint markings are present inside the skirt. Chinstrap and liner cord absent. Fair, with minor scuffs and wear. 2) Tropical uniform tunic and trousers. The tunic is tan cotton construction with yellow waffenfarbe trimmed shoulder boards for a Stabsfeldwebel (Master Sergeant), an alloy Luftwaffe eagle on the right breast, mounting loops on and around the left breast pocket, and faint maker's marking "RB Nr 0/0250/0204" on the interior. The trousers are tan twill, with integral adjustment belts at the waist and ankles, size marked "84/119" and "86/100" above "LBA41" inside the waist to the immediate left of the fly, and ink stamped "Rudolph, H(illegible)" on the left front pocket. While not documented, H. Rudolph may have been the original owner of the trousers. Fine, with minor wear overall and moth activity on the shoulder boards. Provenance: The Putnam Green/Sycamore Collection
