Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling and some minor streaking.
Description:

Receiver manufactured c. late 1943 to early 1944 as a part of the third production block from National Postal Meter (serial number range from 4,075,010 to 4,432,099) produced from November 1943 to June 1944. Correct "MARLIN" marked barrel (double struck), "N" marked front sight, "S" and "TN" marked 'L' flip peep rear sight, unmarked type II barrel band, "N/14" blued flat-top bolt, "N13" type III operating rod, along with a "N/9" milled trigger housing with "HI" type IV magazine release, unmarked push button safety, and "HI" type III hammer. Fitted with a two-rivet walnut handguard marked "TN" on the underside and a 'high-wood' walnut stock, marked "TN" in the sling channel along with a boxed "NPM/FJA" (National Postal Meter, Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspection and "ordnance wheel" acceptance stamps on the right of the butt. Includes a web sling and metal oiler. Magazine is absent.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently built back to World War II configuration, retaining much of the finish with some minor edge wear, some light cycling wear, some dried grease, minor spotting/freckling visible, and minor handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled with numerous scattered minor compression marks and mostly clear stamps.
