Manufactured in 1931, featuring a white painted adjustable Patridge blade front sight, a windage adjustable notch rear sight on the top strap, two-line Colt address and patent dates on top of the barrel with the model and caliber designation on the left side, Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, along with "triangle/VP" and "3" on the left of the trigger guard. Matching visible serial numbers on the frame and crane. Fitted with a pair of checkered walnut grips with Colt silver medallion inserts. Includes a Colt maroon box with appropriate end label and additional "TARGET HEAVY BARREL/PATRIDGE SIGHT" (faintly numbered to a different revolver on the underside in pencil) along with a bore brush.

Exceptionally fine, retaining most of the original finish with some minor edge wear, a light cylinder drag line, some thinning mostly on the backstrap with mostly grey patina, limited freckling, and a few minor handling marks and scrapes. The undersized replacement grips are very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with separation, and edge wear to the lid.
