Description:

The included letter from Charles Worman of Manning & Associates, Dayton, Ohio, states the sword is pictured and identified in Harold Peterson's "The American Sword, 1775-1945" on pages 96-97 as no. 86. Worman goes on to state that the sword was purchased from the Harold Peterson Estate. Etched blade with Henderson/Ames marking. With scabbard. Provenance: The Harold Peterson Collection; Private Collection

Very fine with bright blade retaining nearly all of the etching, some handling wear.
