Bore Condition: The bore is darkened and has oxidation and distinct rifling.
Description:

"GS" signed lock and "G* Slaysman" signed barrel. The Kentucky Rifle Foundation lists George Slaysman (1782-1862) of the Huntingdon area of Pennsylvania as active c. 18015-1862.

Rating Definition:

Good with dark brown patina, moderate oxidation and pitting, distinct markings and engraving, aged patina on the mounts, cracks and chips absent from the stock, worn checkering, minor replacement parts, short ramrod, and moderate wear. Mechanically functions (set trigger first).
