Total length of the pistol is 3 3/8 inches with a feather design engraved frame marked "J SIDDINS" on the left side, screw on barrel with illegible proofmarks on the bottom breech end of the barrel and on the frame. Center mounted hammer, sliding hammer safety, folding trigger and fitted with a one piece checkered ivory grip with simple engraved silver buttcap and silver diamond shaped thumb plate. Complete in a wooden two piece box with a dueling scene on the lid, animal fur on the inside of the lid and red velvet lining. There are four compartments, two with lids and the lids are painted gold scroll designs on the lids and along the top of the compartment and outer walls.

Very good. The pistol is polished bright with a few minor dents and dings in the metal. The buttcap has a mellow aged patina. The grip is ill-fitting at the frame and has aged to a tan patina with crisp checkering. Unless noted above, the engraving and marking are clear. The action is fine. The box is very good with a small piece of the animal fur missing, a small cutout in the side wall and some torn, loose and absent lining.
