This is a fine example of a English made transitional percussion revolver. There are no makers marks. The cylinder is marked with alternating "crown/GP" and "crown/V" proofmarks between each chamber and the two proofs also appear on the bottom barrel flat . The hammer, frame, trigger guard, buttplate and barrel lug are engraved with fine English scroll designs. Dovetailed fixed sights and there is a spring loaded ramrod mounted in the bottom of the barrel lug. Blue barrel and cylinder, and casehardened frame and buttcap. Fitted with a one piece ribbed walnut grip. The consignors notes state that the revolver is attributed to George Fuller, London, England, circa 1850 to 1878.

Very fine. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with areas of smooth plum patina The bottom of the frame and cylinder have a smooth mottled gray patina. The frame retains 30% original case colors with a smooth mottled gray patina on the balance. The grip is very good with some scattered minor dents and dings. The engraving is crisp. The action is excellent.
