Description:

Blade front sight with the two-leaf rear sight attached to the 1855 dated tang. "V / P / eagle head" proofs on the left side of the barrel at the breech,1855 dated lock plate marked "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" at the front, and an American eagle on the Maynard primer door. Barrel has been bored out for shotgun configuration. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a swiveling ramrod, and brass furniture. Complete with a reproduction attachable stock with brass buttplate and sling swivel.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished overall. The refinished barrel has a smooth brown patina and the action has a smooth gray patina. There is some minor pitting (mostly on the barrel). The brass is fine. The repaired reproduction stock is fair with a few minor hairline cracks around the lock and left stock flat, along with some minor dings and scratches. The stock has some scattered minor handling marks and a hairline crack along the grain, with a mixed patina on the brass.
