The left side of the barrel is marked "623" and has the "V / P / eagle head" proofs and the barrel tang is dated 1835. "623" is also stamped on the middle barrel band and on the trigger guard plate ahead of the trigger. There is an "R" stamped on the hammer spring. The tang of the buttplate is stamped "US". The left stock flat is stamped with a faint "AR" and to "V"s, and the front of the stock is stamped "JK". Complete with an original steel ramrod with a button shaped head.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled silver gray patina. The stock has been repaired at the top of the wrist and a crack is still visible, otherwise the stock is solid and remains in very good condition with some minor chips along the edge of the butt and overall some minor dents and dings. The markings are clear. The action is very good.
