Description:

Produced between 1836 and 1844. Brass blade front and "U" notch rear sights, with the barrel marked "U.S./ JA/ P" and "S" on the left side. The lock plate is marked "A. WATERS/ MILBURY, M.S./ 1837" below the detachable brass flash pan. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a swiveling ramrod, single barrel band attached to the side plate, a pair of oval cartouches on the left side and small single letter inspection proofs on the metal components.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with a mixed brown and gray patina on the metal, spotting around the flashpan, and scattered spotting and handling marks. Stock is good, with light pressure dents and deep sanding scratches overall. Mechanically fine.
