Description:

Fixed sights with no visible maker marking with "starburst" and cross designs behind rear sight. The forend cap, ramrod pipe, stock wedge escutcheons, trigger guard, reverse plate, ornate light engraved patch box and buttplate are brass. Full length stock featuring an incised carved buttstock with a brass engraved crescent shaped overlay on the cheekpiece and a brass tear drop shaped overlay on the comb.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel, lock, and hammer have a smooth dark patina with minor spotting overall and some minor pitting. The brass has areas of dark patina with a hairline crack on the front ramrod pipe. The stock is good with a couple filled repairs, a repaired chip (left side of forearm) and cracked near the toe with a missing chip, along with some minor handling marks.
