Description:

Manufactured in 1856 at the Colt London Armory. The top barrel flat is marked "ADDRESS. COL: COLT / LONDON" inside brackets. Pair of British proofs on the barrel lug, with the proofs alternating between the cylinder chambers. Cylinder has the stagecoach holdup scene and the frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side. Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, wedge, and loading lever. Iron backstrap and trigger guard, with a smooth one piece walnut grip.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The revolver has a mottled brown-gray patina with some scattered minor spotting and pitting. Cylinder scene has worn smooth. The grip is also fair with a chipped toe and a series of minor pressure dents on the bottom, along with some minor dings and scratches. Both frame pins are broken and wedge slot in cylinder spindle is broken at the top. Action needs work.
