Description:

Manufactured in 1882. This Third Model has the guide rail integrally machined as part of the receiver. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/King's improvement patent dates ahead of the rear sight and there is no caliber designation (barrel gauges at 44). The model designation is on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang. Brass blade front sight and adjustable buck horn rear sight. Blue finish with casehardened hammer, lever and crescent buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included), and mounted with a smooth forearm with iron end cap and straight grip stock.

Rating Definition:

Very good. All of the metal surfaces have a smooth mottled brown patina, (dark on the buttplate). The wood is also very good with scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
