Description:

Produced circa 1896 - 1933. Marble's blade front and folding sporting rear sight, with a medium weight target barrel marked "25 RF" on the left rear, with two line address on the right. Standard late Stevens trademark on the casehardened receiver, with the tang drilled and tap for sights and the lower tang marked with the serial number as well as "44". Matching serial number on the barrel. Smooth semi-Schnabel tip forearm and straight grip stock with a smooth steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 98% of the original blue finish on the barrel, with some light muzzle wear and minor scratches behind the rear sight. 80% vivid original case colors remain on the frame, with a smooth brown/ gray patina on the lever and buttplate. Stock is fine as sanded and refinished, slightly undersized with a few minor dings and light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
