In production from 1935 to 1945, the Krieghoff Lugers were made exclusively for Luftwaffe use. Blade and notch sights, with the "1940" date atop the chamber and the "H anchor K/ KRIEGHOFF/ SUHL" marking on the toggle link. Droop wing eagle proofs are present on the barrel, the right side of the extension, inside the side plate, trigger lever, left side of the breechblock and rear toggle, underside of the front toggle, firing pin and firing pin spring retainer, along with matching numbers on all the above parts, plus the frame, latch, trigger, safety, hold open and extractor. The small components show a straw finish, with niter blue screws, replacement checkered black plastic grips, and blue finished magazine with aluminum base stamped with the droop wing eagle over "2" and "10407". The side plate has an additional matching number "07" applied to the center top exterior in addition to the original internal chamber (possibly an armorer addition?).
