Description:

Created in 1934, the rank of Untersturmfuhrer, is roughly analogous to Second Lieutenant, and could either be received by appointment, or earned in a process that required submitting an application to Heinrich Himmler himself, or undergoing an officer's school which could take 1 1/3 years to complete. Gray construction, with nickel finished buttons and a Franz Ritter makers mark on the inside. Shoulder boards are silver bullion, with a pair of caudecus badges, and the lapels show a SS rune patch and the 3-pip Untersturmfuhrer patch, both black felt with silver wire, the left breast shows a ribbon bar with 5 ribbons, and the left sleeve shows a post-1936 Nazi eagle and a blank black and silver armband. With a pair of matching gray trousers.
