Description:

The brocade belt has green wool backing and the reciprocal side is constructed of a woven silver thread in a oak leaf and SS design. The edges have a black and silver boarder as does the vertical bands at each end. One end is folded and stitched over a buckle latch and the other ends with a pointed tip. A leather tongue is stitched in to hold the buckle. The leather retaining tongue has a tag marked "M RZM (in a circle) No. 006594" with an encircled SS mark also present. The leather piece also has ten pairs of parallel, length adjustment, buckle retaining holes. The buckle itself is an alloy material and is marked with a swastika surrounded by oak leaves below and the phrase "Gott mit uns" (loosely translated "God with us") above. The reverse is marked with and encircled RZM and m4/22 on the hook and D.R.G.M. just below.

Rating Definition:

The belt is very fine with eight small areas of dark brown circles on the inner wool lining. One spot is visible on the silver thread in the outside of the belt. The leather strap has some material loss due to tape adhesive. The buckle is also very fine with slight scratches on the swastika and some wear to the finish where the buckle rubs against the hinge. Very good overall.
