Description:

Issued to officers in the National Sozialistisches Kraftfahr Korps (National Socialist Motor Corps), the left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner, followed by the two line address and caliber markings, "Mod.PP", and the eagle holding a swastika under a "NSKK" banner. The right side of the barrel and the frame under the ejection port are marked with Crown/ N proofs, and the serial number runs vertically down the frame in front of the grips. The grips are two piece checkered plastic, with Walther banners in the top, and the magazine is marked with the banner on the left side. Included with this pistol is a notarized affidavit from one Shirley Bobereck, daughter of Colonel Merritt H. Hursh, an officer with the 6860th Headquarters Detachment Intelligence Assault Force, one of the "T Force" intel units responsible for moving into enemy cities, often while the fight was still raging, in order to secure and preserve high-value targets such as enemy headquarter buildings. According to the affidavit, the 6860th, then headquartered in Munich, was assigned to handle Berchtesgaden, home of Hitler's Berghof and the rumored "National Redoubt". He recovered this pistol, along with another monogrammed "F.v.E." in a cased set, from the Berghof, and believed the pair to be the former property of General Franz Ritter von Epp, Reichsstatthalter of Bavaria.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 975% plus of the bright original blue finish, showing a small amount of bright gray wear on the heel of the backstrap and scattered light handling marks. Grips are excellent, with a few tiny dings. Mechanically excellent. NSKK marked weaponry is scarce in any condition, let alone with this degree of finish or provenance.
