Standard Walther markings on the left side of the slide, with commercial "crown/N" proofs on the right side of the slide, chamber, and barrel. The front grip strap is marked with the initials "R.J." and it is theorized that this stands for the Reich ministry of Justice. Fitted with checkered Walther banner grips.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original blue finish remaining with the area in front of the ejection port having been cleaned and now having a smooth gray patina with some minor scratches overall. There is some minor edge wear, some minor thinning on the front grip strap, and a smooth gray patina on the backstrap, with some scattered minor pitting. The left grip panel is cracked, otherwise the grips are very good with some minor handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp.
