Description:

The left side of the slide is marked "P. BERETTA-CAL. 9 CORTO-Mo 1934-BREVETTATO / GARDONE V.T. 1940-XVIII". The left grip tang has the Italian Army "crown/RE" marking and the right grip tang has a "crown/FAG/39" (likely a military acceptance marking). Single Nazi test firing proofs are stamped on the barrel, and left side of the frame. The left side of the slide has two faint Nazi test firing proofs. No documentation can be found referring to this type of Nazi proofing, so buyer will have to draw his/her own conclusion. A circled "ZG" is stamped near the lanyard staple. Matching serial number on frame and slide. Fitted with standard metal backed plastic grips with "PB" emblem.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original high polished blue finish with some scattered minor edge wear and a faint plum patina on the frame. The grips are also excellent with a few mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
