Manufactured from 1886 to 1913. The top of the rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates. Matching serial number on the butt, rear cylinder face, barrel latch and top strap. Pinned front and notch rear sights, nickel finish with blue trigger guard and casehardened trigger and hammer, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with S&W logo at the top.

Fine. The barrel has been cleaned to a silver gray with some minor pitting. The cylinder and frame retain 70% original nickel finish with flaking on the cylinder and butt, and some blistering on the frame. The hammer and trigger retain most of the original case colors. The grips are also very fine with a few minor scuffs and dings, and moderate wear to the checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
