Description:

According to the factory records (letter included), this revolver was shipped to M.W. Robinson, S&Ws largest distributor, on July 27, 1877, and remains in its original factory configuration. Pinned blade front and notch rear sights, with the 2 line address/ patent dates on top of the rib. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, barrel latch and cylinder. Hammer and trigger are checkered, and the grips are checkered with diamond patterns around the screw and "S&W." in circles at the top. In a green cardboard box with picture label on the lid with "NICKEL/ PLATED" stamp in purple and the instruction label inside the lid.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% original finish, minor flaking on the muzzle, a frosted appearance to the grip straps and scattered handling marks overall. Fine case colors are present on the hammer, strongest on the right side. Excellent grips, with some light pressure dents and sharp checkering. Box is fine, with a loose corner on the lid, scattered wear and scuffs. Mechanically very good.
