Description:

Blade front sight with a detachable hood marked with an Ordnance bomb over "US", with and adjustable ladder rear sight with the correct milled parts and a later Bonney Forge replacement bolt. The Springfield barrel is marked "SA "2-28". The trigger guard has a museum number "JF / 270". The smooth straight grip stock has a boxed "D.A.L." cartouche with a circled "P" in the grip area. The buttplate is checkering and has a trapdoor.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The rifle retains nearly 97% original parkerized finish with some minor thinning and some minor edge wear, with some scattered minor spotting. The wood is also excellent with some very scattered mild handling marks. Clean cartouches.
