The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address/patent dates (1884-1895) marking with "COLT D.A. 38" on the left side and a "P" and "RAC" on the underside. The left side of the frame is marked with the inspector initials "RAC" and "L.E.B." with "RAC" stamped twice on the rear cylinder face. The number "5030" is stamped on the frame, crane, and cylinder release, with the letter "K" on the cylinder release and crane. The butt with a lanyard ring is marked "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1901 / NO / 155 / 030". Fitted with smooth walnut grips marked with the number "745" on the backs and a boxed "RAC" cartouche on the right panel.

Excellent. The revolver retains 97% bright original high polish blue finish with some minor thinning, some minor edge wear, and some minor handling marks. With the exception of a minor crack on the left panel, the grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
