Description:

The barrel has the two line address/patent dates making on the top, with "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. The left side of the frame is marked with the inspector initials "J.E.H." and "R.A.C.", with "1903". Additional "R.A.C." initial are present on the rear cylinder face and on the bottom of both grips. The butt has a lanyard ring and marked "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1903 / NO / 204 / 230". Matching numbers on the frame, crane and right grip.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 95% bright original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown patina with a smooth gray patina on the backstrap. There is some minor spotting (mostly on the cylinder) and some minor scratches (mostly on the frame), with a patch of minor pitting on the top strap. The grips are also excellent with some minor handling marks, with couple minor gouges on the left panel near the frame. Mechanically excellent.
