Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with a "12-43" dated Remington barrel and standard receiver marking. The receiver ring has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount which was removed and the original rear sight installed, with wartime "C" stock, with the bolt altered to clear a scope. No visible markings and a checkered buttplate. Blued bolt with remaining surfaces parkerized.

Refinished. The rifle retains 97% of the parkerized finish remaining with some minor thinning (mostly on the barrel) and edge wear with some minor scratches on the floor plate. The replacement stock and handguard have some scattered minor handling marks with filler material around the receiver tang.

Smooth straight grip stock with faint ordnance and "FJA" cartouches on the left side, circled "P" behind the trigger guard, and a checkered buttplate. Parkerized barrel, bayonet lug, and receiver with the remaining parts blue.

Very good with 90% original parkerized with some minor wear overall. The barrel bands, floor plate, trigger guard, and bolt retain 95% of the original blue finish with some minor thinning. The buttplate has a smooth gray patina with traces of blue on the tang. Rear barrel band has a contemporary embossed label: "REM. 43". The stock and handguard are fine with a large chip missing near the toe and some scattered minor gouges, along with some minor dings, scratches, and pressure marks. There is a gap around the rear of the receiver.
