Manufactured in 1899. Hooded blade front sight and tangent style rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards and marked with the letter "C" on the right side of the base. Standard receiver markings and mounted with a smooth straight grip stock and matching handguard with forearm finger grooves, boxed JSA / 1899" cartouche on the left side and circled "P" in the grip and flat steel buttplate with compartment containing a three piece cleaning rod and oiler.

Old arsenal style refinish with a smooth plum blue on the barrel and receiver, silver gray on the side plate and a smooth mottled gray patina on the magazine, showing some faded case colors on the top. The stock is very good with some overall scattered minor dings and dents. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
