Description:

This is a very good example of a rare V.J. Krag model 1900 Bowie Bayonet. Nine inch clip point blade, with "US" on the right ricasso, "1900" on the left and a 2 1/2" section of sharpened spine near the guard. Smooth wood grips, with polished steel cross guard and pommel. With a metal sheath, fitted with a 90 degree swiveling belt loop and a ball tip.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The blade shows some light pitting on the bright surface, with signs of sharpening, handling marks and a protective varnish around the guard and on the pommel. Grips are good, with a crack in the left panel, light chips and a few pressure dents. Sheath is fine, with a mixed gray and brown patina.
