Produced at the Mauser factory, as a Kreigsmodell. The receiver has the late Waffenamt 135 proofs, over "mod 98" and on the right side, and the late "SVW45" receiver code The Waffenamt proof also appears on the barrel. The receiver and barrel have the correct eagle firing proof on the left side, with the addition of the serial number on the receiver. Around the rear of the barrel is marked"1039". Late war stamped parts and the barrel bands are correctly screwed on and unnumbered. Hooded ramp front sight and adjustable rear tangent sight graduated to 2,000 meters. The finish is the late war light gray/green phosphate on all parts, and the stock is unmarked, with the firing pin takedown hole in the cupped buttplate. Complete with an original cross hatch leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine as partially restored. 60% of the original thin green/gray phosphate finish remains, with most parts more of a smooth gray. The stock is very fine with a few small minor gouges on the left side at the rear of the receiver and overall a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The barrel bands are both refinished. The markings are clear (some highlighted in white). The sling is good with moderate wear and some minor age cracking. The action is excellent.
