Patented in 1920, the "Jo. Lo. Ar. " variant of Arrizabalaga's Sharp Shooter pistol has a folding lever mounted on the slide, which allows the user to charge the weapon one handed. This encouraged the carry of the arm with an empty chamber and loaded magazine, a very safe arrangement even with the lack of manual safeties or a trigger guard. Fixed sights on the hinged barrel, with a small "P" proof on the left side. Two line model and patent markings on the left side, with the "Jo.Lo.Ar.'-E" marked lever on the opposite side. Ribbed hammer, smooth trigger and checkered "JO.LO.AR" marked grips.

Fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing bright edge wear, a gray patina on the grip straps and underside of the frame, scattered spotting, handling marks and some mild pitting in the bright areas. Grips are very good, with exception of a chip absent from the left panel. The lever has been turned outward slightly, otherwise mechanically excellent.

As A, with the "P" stamp on the chamber, "JO.LO.AR" -1 2593" on the lever and rear sight on the slide.

Refinished, with traces of the original blue finish, strongest in the protected areas, with bright gray on the slide under the lever and a mixed artificial brown patina overall. Grips are very good, with some scuffing. Mechanically fine.
