This is an example of a Late WWII K98 rifle manufactured by Waffenwerke Bruenn, A.-G., Werke Bystrica in 1944. The top of the receiver ring is marked with a Waffenamt proof over "dou / 44", the left side wall is marked "Mod. 98" and the left rear of the barrel is marked with the Nazi firing proof and the serial number. The bolt assembly is numbered to the gun, and no other parts are numbered. Stamped and welded barrel bands, stamped trigger guard and milled floor plate. Hooded blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters and mounted with a one piece pistol grip laminated stock with matching handguard and cupped buttplate. The stock is unmarked. Complete with a brown leather cross hatch sling and "44cvx" code bayonet with a smooth wooden handle, matching metal scabbard and unmarked leather frog.

Very fine. The rifle retains 75% original blue finish with areas of smooth gray patina. The stock is also very fine with a rough finish on the left side of the forearm and overall a few minor dings and dents. The bayonet and scabbard are very good. The frog is good. The sling is good. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
