Produced 1870-1882. Top strap groove sight, with the left side marked "MY FRIEND PAT'D. DEC. 26, 1865". Five shot unfluted cylinder, with matching numbers on the cylinder, pin, trigger and frame. Frame is fitted with a cylinder lock on the front, and decorated with scroll, burst and punch dot engraving. Solid grip section, with a checkered panel on the rear.

Very good, with a gray patina on the cylinder and other metal components, and a fine aged brass color on the frame, showing a few traces of a previous finish. Mechanically needs work, action does not function. The top strap marking has been double stamped and remains readable, and the engraving is crisp and clear.
