Description:

Ribbed six chamber barrel, marked "ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER" and "PATENTED 1837 CAST STEEL" on the ribs. The left side of the bar hammer is marked "ALLEN'S PATENT" and the frame is broad leaf and scroll engraving, with engraved detachable nipple shield and spur trigger guard. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, nipple shield, hammer, trigger guard, frame, hammer spring and both grips. With a partitioned case with blue velvet lining, which holds the following: sealed Winchester E.B. No. 11 percussion cap tin, key, cleaning rod, powder flask with compartment, and bullet mold marked "115".

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 55% of the original blue, showing areas of brown and brown/ gray patina, along with some scattered handling marks. Grips are good, with some mild dings and varnish loss. The case is very fine with some minor handling marks, minor dings and some minor wear in the lining. Mechanically good.
