Description:

Produced without sights, with a band on engraving at the muzzle and "crown/ GP" and "crown/ V" London proofs in the flutes. Scroll engraving is present on the hammer, frame, trigger guard and sliding safety, with a smooth trigger, integral nipple guard, floral designs on the screws and hammer, an inscription banner on the backstrap, and a pair of checkered bag shaped grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% of the original thinning blue finish, showing areas of pitting, rust on the hammer and safety and sections of brown patina on the barrel. The frame shows an attractive patina, darker in the protected areas with a scratch extending from the hammer screw and mild handling marks. The right screw escutcheon is loose, otherwise the grips are very good with some mild pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
