Description:

Produced without sights, with light engraving at the muzzles and "crown/ crossed scepter" proofs in the flutes. The side plates, bar hammer, backstrap, butt, and trigger guard are engraved with an elegant scroll and vine pattern. Finely checkered English walnut grips with engraved screw and screw escutcheons.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 65% of the original case colors, with some darkening and spotting. Colors on the frame are especially vivid. Grips are very good, with sharp checkering and a few tiny chips. Mechanically in need of minor adjustment. A fine example of an English percussion pepperbox.
