Description:

Manufactured from the late 1840s to the 1850s, only a few hundred made. Brass blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, which extends back past the hammer to the adjustment screw. The left barrel flat is marked "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER / CAST-STEEL". Fitted with a finger rest trigger guard and a pair of smooth bag shaped grips. Matching numbers on the frame and barrel.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with a mixed brown and gray patina overall, scattered dings and pitting. Grips are very good as revarnished, with a small amount of filler next to the left screw escutcheon and light pressure dents. Ramrod not included. Mechanically excellent.
