Description:

According to factory records (copy included), this revolver was sent as a single unit to the Central Hardware Company of Toledo, Ohio on January 12, 1932. The caliber is described as "38 Colt" and the grips "Not Listed", otherwise the configuration in the record matches the gun. Fixed sights, with the barrel marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." on top and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL" on the left side. Casehardened frame with the two line, three date patent marking on the left side followed by the un-circled Rampant Colt, "E" in the hammer cutout and assembly number "256" on the loading gate. Checkered two piece grips with Rampant Colt designs at the tops and "569" on the insides.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 97% of the original blue finish, showing minor edge wear, light scratches and spotting overall. Vivid case colors are visible on the frame and hammer, brightest in the protected areas. Two digits of the frame number have been double stamped. Grips are very good replacements, with some light handling marks and pressure dents.
