The left side receiver wall is marked "Mod.98" and the left rear of the barrel is marked with a Nazi firing proof and an "eagle/214" proof. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights. Visible numbers are matching. Mounted with a smooth laminated stock and handguard with a cupped buttplate, and matching serial number and eagle proof on the bottom. Complete with a brown leather cross hatch sling, slotted cleaning rod and "jwh" code bayonet with serrated Bakelite handle and metal scabbard. The bayonet and scabbard are matched to another gun.

Fine. The rifle retains 30% original blue finish mixed with smooth mottled brown patina. With the exception of a few shallow minor gouges on the left side at the receiver and a pieced in repair behind the grip, the stock is also fine with a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The bayonet and scabbard are very good. The sling is good with some heavy wear. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
