The rifle features post front and tangent rear sights and is equipped with an early PU scope. The PU scope is dated 1939. This scope has the number "54337". The top of the barrel is marked with the Russian Hammer and Sickle inside a wreath over a boxed "n" over "1942" (for the year of manufacture) over the serial number over a boxed proofmark over the Ishevsk Factory proofmark of a "Triangle with the Arrow inside". Importer marked barrel, turned down bolt handle, magazine floor plate numbered to gun, and renumbered buttplate. Full length stock and replacement handguard.

Arsenal refurbished, with half of the dull blue finish remaining over even minor pitting. The varnished wood retains most of the varnish with the forearm repaired and a long scratch on the handguard, along with a few minor handling marks. The scope mount has minor pitting with some scattered minor pitting on the scope. The scope retains 70% of the blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina.
