Description:

The Model 1913 was the result of years of development in conjunction with the British Government. The pistol was adopted in 1913 as the Model 1913 MK1N for the Royal Navy. It is very similar to the Model 1910, but with an external hammer and chambered for the 455 Webley self-loading cartridge. In 1915 a variation was designed with the left side of the butt slotted for a shoulder stock, an adjustable rear sight and a hammer safety. These pistols were adopted by the Royal Horse Artillery. The left sided of the slide is marked with the winged bullet over "WS" logo followed by "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD / PISTOL SELF-LOADING 455 MARK I NO 2 / 1915". There are numerous British proofmarks on the left side of the trigger, left rear of the frame, on the grip safety, top and side of the slide and on top of the barrel. The pistol is equipped with a blade front and adjustable rear sights, hammer and grip safety, lanyard ring on the heel and fitted with brown checkered plastic grips. Complete with a scarce wooden stock with steel attaching arm.

Rating Definition:

Professionally restored to near mint condition with a couple of minor dings on the upper right side of the slide. The grips are near excellent with a few minor dents and dings, and very crisp checkering. The stock has also been restored to near mint condition with a few minor, light scratches and handling marks. A very nicely restored Webley & Scott Royal Horse Artillery pistol with very rare shoulder stock.
