Top of receiver ring has an "eagle/135" proof above "byf / 44", with an eagle firing proof on the left side and two "eagle/135: proofs on the right. "MOD 98" on the left receiver wall. Matching bolt assembly, barrel, floor plate and front barrel band, with mismatched trigger guard. Smooth pistol grip stock with a faint "eagle/WaA" proof, leather sling, and cupped buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina, with some minor spotting. The wood is very fine with some minor handling marks.
