A) Nazi Proofed Steyr Model 1897 Bolt Action Carbine

Description:

The top of the barrel and chamber are marked with a "crown/B" over the serial number and the left receiver wall is marked "STEYR 1897". Mismatched bolt and safety lever. Inverted "V" front sight and adjustable ski slope style rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Mounted with a full straight grip stock with flat iron buttplate and canvas and leather sling. The bottom of the wrist is stamped with a "crown/H", "eagle/Mg10, (Nazi proof), "u" and the matching serial number.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The carbine retains 50% original thinning blue finish with areas of smooth brown and gray patina. The stock is good with overall scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. The sling has been pieced together with leather and canvas and is good. The markings are clear. The action is fine.

Description:

Blade and folding ladder sights, with "STEYR/ M. 95" on the receiver and "Wn (eagle) 18" (1918), and "30" on the breech end of the barrel. Matching numbers on the barrel, receiver and buttstock. Smooth straight grip stock, with a brown leather sling and a flat buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The carbine retains 40% of the original finish with thinning on the muzzle end of the barrel and a mix of smooth gray patina and original finish on the barrel bands. The stock is very good with numerous overall minor dents, dings and scratches. The sling is good. The loop has separated and overall shows some wear. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
