Made in January of 1942, this rifle was among the supplies and war material loaned to Great Britain as part of the Lend-Lease program in the 1940s. Blade and peep sights with "BATTLE RANGE" elevation knob, "12-41" dated Springfield barrel (Pearl Harbor era), Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, safety, and operating rod. In addition to the standard markings, a Birmingham "crown/ BNP" proof was added to the front of the receiver, and a Birmingham proof, crossed scepters, and diameter and tonnage markings on the barrel next to the date. Smooth stock, with an Ordnance stamp and "SA/ GHS" cartouche on the left, circled "P" on the wrist, and a brown leather sling. With cleaning equipment in the butt trap, a 1944 dated E. A. Brown muzzle cover and a 1944 dated Atlas Awning carry pouch.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 97% of the original parkerized finish. Mild edge wear and handling marks overall, with a darker tone on the gas tube and operating rod. Very fine stock, with some scratches and pressure dents. Canvas items are excellent, with strong leather. Mechanically excellent. Due to their high condition and historical associations, Lend-Lease rifles are highly prized today.
