These were the standard commercial Winchester Model 1200 shotguns produced during the late 1960s and early 1970s that were purchased/adapted for the military by adding a bayonet lug/heat shield to the barrel, with most destroyed in the mid-1980s. (Note that the bayonet lug/heat shield has been removed on this gun.) Factory proof on the barrel, no proof on the receiver. The left side of the barrel is marked "U.S." over the standard two line Winchester model/address marking over "CYL." The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. Parkerized barrel with remaining surfaces having a black anodized finish. Grooved forearm and smooth pistol grip stock, and vented Winchester recoil pad. Length of pull is 14".

Excellent. The barrel retains 99% original parkerized finish with some scattered mild wear. The remaining surfaces retain 97% original black anodized finish with some minor slide wear and a few minor scratches. The wood is also excellent with some very scattered minor dings.
