Description:

Inverted "V" front sight with protectors, military tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters, and muzzle cover. Receiver ring has crown/script letter proofs and is marked with a large crown over "DANZIG / 1914". The left receiver wall is script marked "KAR 98". Matching numbers on the receiver, bolt assembly, floor plate, trigger plate, barrel bands, stacking hook, and stock, with rear sight numbered "15" and renumbered trigger screws and buttplate. The stock has crown/letter proofs.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina with scattered traces of faded original blue finish (strongest on the receiver). The bottom section of the stock has been reattached, otherwise the wood is also very good with some minor dings, dents, and scratches. Mechanically fine.
