Manufactured in 1903, the first year of production. Fixed sights, with front slide serrations, two block markings (three line patent dates, two line Hartford address) followed by a circled Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide, and "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" on the right side. Spur hammer and checkered "COLT" and Rampant Colt embossed grips. Blued magazine with "CAL. 38 / COLT" on the bottom.

Very good. Overall the pistol has a smooth gray patina and some minor pitting, with the frame retaining 20% original blue finish. There is a patch of minor spotting near the ejection port. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp.
