The included Colt factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber and finish with the barrel length and type of stocks not listed. The letter states that the pistol was shipped to W.A. Abel & Company, Syracuse, New York, on November 18, 1909 as part of a 2 gun shipment. Standard two line Hartford address/patent dates slide marking, with "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE . 25" on the right side of the slide. Fitted with checkered "COLT" banner/Rampant Colt superimposed over a stylized C. Casehardened trigger and grip safety. Furnished with a blued unmarked magazine. Complete with Colt Model 1908 pistol box numbered to a different gun.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with some edge wear with some minor scratches and spotting. The trigger and grip safety retain 90% original case colors fading to a gray. The grips are also excellent with a few light handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Box is good with edge wear and tape repairs.
